- Component Products, Inc. started in 1988 as a local supplier of Octagonal Cast Iron Pedestal Bases, serving traffic wholesalers of Illinois. In 1990, we expanded with the addition of a square pattern for Aluminum and Cast Iron Bases. This line was complemented with an inventory of Aluminum and Steel Poles. 1992 brought the acquisition of the Tucker Company, which enabled us to increase our product line and expand our scope of operations throughout the United States and Canada. At the same time, we acquired all the inventory and patterns from Traffic Control Technologies out of Pennsylvania. This included all of the Crouse-Hinds patterns for bases, cabinets, and hardware.
- 1993 found us in need of much larger facilities. The following items were part of our 1993 expansion: Agriculture, Chemicals, Pulp and Paper, Refrigeration, Oil Refining, Water Systems, and Valve Manufacturing. Continuing our growth, we expanded our operations and moved to Schaumburg, IL in 1996. Currently, new product development is being concentrated on Shrouds, TCT Signal Framework, Helix Screw Foundations, Cast Aluminum Electric Boxes, Cast Iron Ornamental Bases, Polycarbonate Lock Nipples, Polycarbonate Caps, and Polycarbonate Post Top Mounts. Continued, managed growth enables Component Products, Inc. to produce the highest quality products for industry demands. We are also capable of tackling special requirements of modified patterns, special designs, and a vast array of surface preparations and coatings for all of our products.
